John Jay High School Advanced French Students Travel to and Celebrate Carnaval de Québec

Forty John Jay High School students, who participate in French 4 and French 4 Honors, will travel to Canada from February 5-8, 2010. The students will immerse themselves in French Canadian sites, culture, and language. They will be able to use and expand their knowledge of spoken French in an authentic setting, thanks to support from their families and, for the first time, the generosity of ArtsALIVE!, the arts booster club of Katonah-Lewisboro schools. “We are pleased that so many students can participate in this intensive French learning experience,” declared French teacher Hanky Kutscher, “especially since the junior year of high school is packed in preparation for college.”

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff:

RE: Health Notice Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)

Recently, we have had three confirmed cases of MRSA in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District. More cases may occur. We need to recognize that MRSA is present in our community, as it is in most communities.
