Another Successful Sustainability Showcase 🌱🌎
On Tuesday evening, the district celebrated its sustainability progress and goals with student projects, examples of energy savings across the district, and even a tour on board one of the district’s electric buses.
Elementary school Green Teams showed off their efforts and older students shared research projects. These initiatives focused on recycling and waste reduction, protecting wildlife and habitats, and the impact of everyday choices on the environment, along with ecosystem models and builds created from reused materials. Our community partners joined the conversation with displays and a Q&A panel, highlighting conservation efforts, wildlife education, and sustainable practices.

Connecting classroom learning to real-world paths 📈
11th and 12th grade marketing students at John Jay High School welcomed guest speaker Dan Pearson, founder of Lakeside Entertainment Group, who shared insight into branding, decision-making, and bringing ideas to life 🎤
Continuing that work into their sports and entertainment marketing unit, students developed projects promoting a concert tour, sharing their work and feedback.
