Building a business model starts with understanding how all the pieces connect. AP Business Scholars at JJHS began by highlighting key information in a case study and examining how customers, products and markets connect within an existing business. They will use these insights as they develop their own Business Model Canvas throughout this new course, offered at only a few high schools.

attended the Ethel Kennedy Leadership Summit for
Young Women at Manhattanville University on
September 29, joining nearly 60 students from across
the Hudson Valley. Their projects focused on
leadership and human rights, positive self-talk, mental
health for girls in sports, and expanding networking
opportunities for young women.

Makenzie De La Paz, Charlotte Jacobs, Nola
Thiaucourt, and Sroni Vuthamaraju.

Part pep-rally, part club fair, Clubchella at JJHS is a chance for kids find ways to connect within their school community. With dozens of clubs and ways to get involved, there is something to spark each student's interest.

Teamwork was the key to cracking the code! 🔐 JJHS 10th grade English students got to know the library through an orientation scavenger hunt that took them through its physical and virtual resources. Working together, students tracked down books, explored library resources, and put their research and problem-solving skills to work. Each challenge provided a clue toward a final code needed to unlock a lockbox.

First day of school is in the books! 📚 KLSD students reconnected with friends and teachers, settled into new routines and got a look at what they’ll be learning this year. Welcome back, KLSD! #Vision2030
Another last-day of school tradition at Meadow Pond brought fifth grade graduates and JJHS Class of 2026 graduates together for a parade through the halls, cheered on side by side.
✨ On the last day of school, former KES students from the JJHS graduating Class of 2026 returned for a parade through the halls alongside fifth grade graduates, while students and staff cheered them on. 🎓
💻 Certified in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Two John Jay High School business students achieved MOS Associate Certification by passing exams in all three programs, and two others earned Microsoft Word certification. These industry-recognized credentials reflect skills that students can carry into college, careers and beyond.

Humanities Research students showcased their year-long research and action projects, presenting work rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to real-world change. Their projects examined topics such as multiracial identity, Type 1 diabetes, media influence, and adolescent mental health. The evening highlighted how student-driven inquiry can turn ideas into meaningful action.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary, 11th grade AP U.S. History students at JJHS examined significant events and moments in American history through an American 250 project 🇺🇸 They created posters, now displayed throughout the high school, offering a look at the people, decisions, and events that have shaped our nation.
