October 22 was Sport Business Day at MetLife Stadium and John Jay was in the house!
Students enjoyed conversations with Jets executives about marketing, sales, luxury box suites, client relations and providing fans with a valuable experience no matter what happens on the field or with the team's record. They also received a VIP tour of the stadium, suites, locker room and of course the field!
“It was a wonderful experience which made me so excited to pursue my dreams and have a career in sports management," said Gianna, one of the students who attended. “This field trip was a great experience and gave me lots of new insight into future careers I am interested in!" said her classmate R. J.

The field trip was one of several that the business students will experience this year.
“Meeting people with various business careers is an exciting way for students to see applications of the principles of marketing we’re learning in class,” said teacher Jen Drapala, who organizes the experiences with Michael Cohen, the curriculum leader for John Jay’s business department.
